The Intuitive Side of My Work
I think I came into this world with one foot somewhere else. When I was born, I wasn’t held for 14 days. I was born a blue baby and had difficulty breathing, I needed assisted breathing in ICU and spent those first two weeks in and out of consciousness. There is something about that beginning that has always stayed with me. I sometimes wonder if my arrival here was a little different. Whether, spiritually, I was continuisly moving between worlds before I fully landed in this one. I don’t claim to know exactly what happened in those 14 days. But I know that breath has become one of the deepest teachers of my life.
The breath tells us where we are.
It tells us when we’re holding.
When we’re resisting.
When we’re afraid.
When we’re disconnected.
When we’re trying to control something.
And it also shows us how to surrender.
Yoga taught me this in a way nothing else had. Just listen. Where is your breath? What happens when you stop trying to change it and simply become aware? For me, the breath is one of our most immediate forms of information. It is always bringing us back into the present moment, back into the body, back into the experience of being here on Earth. And perhaps there is something beautiful about the fact that I struggled to breathe when I first arrived here, only to spend so much of my life helping people reconnect through their breath.
I’ve always sensed more.
Spirituality was never something strange or separate in my childhood. It was part of the language around me. My parents explored spiritual teachings and counselling, and I grew up with an understanding that there could be more to this world than what we could simply see with our eyes. So I never really learned to be ashamed of that part of myself.
I’ve always been intuitive.
Even as a child, I sensed things. I noticed things. I felt into people and situations. There was always a sense that there was more happening beneath the surface. And then, as an adult, yoga opened the door even further. When I went to my first yoga class, something happened almost immediately. I felt plugged in. The intuitive information started coming through so strongly that I couldn’t ignore it. During that very first experience, I received a strong intuitive sense that I was going to have a baby boy. Two weeks later, I discovered I was pregnant with him. That experience changed the way I understood myself. From there, I became deeply curious.
I went to festivals, retreats, teachings and workshops. I sought out people who expanded my understanding of spirituality, consciousness, energy and the human experience.
I’m a bit of a spiritual junkie.
I love learning.
I love receiving.
I love the moments where something suddenly clicks and I think, Oh. I understand. Over the years I’ve explored many different teachings and practices, while continuing to develop my own intuitive relationship with spirit.
My yoga teacher training in 2015 became a particularly profound turning point. I experienced what I can only describe as an awakening. It felt as though a veil had lifted and I suddenly experienced the world differently.
Everything seemed connected and an illusion.
I began questioning what we call reality, the stories we live inside, the identities we create and the possibility that there is far more happening around us than we usually perceive.
That experience didn’t give me all the answers. It gave me better questions. And I’ve been exploring them ever since.
Intuition is woven through everything I do.
My work isn’t separated into spiritual work and everything else.
For me, it is all connected.
When I teach yoga, I listen.
When I facilitate breathwork, I listen.
When I hold a women’s circle, I listen.
When I’m creating a retreat or transformational container, I listen.
I might have an entire session planned, and then something completely different wants to emerge.
A theme.
A conversation.
A feeling in the room.
A visualisation.
A message.
A piece of intuitive information.
And I have learned to surrender to that.
I trust the process.
I trust what I feel.
I trust the space between what I have planned and what is actually needed. I experience what I call psychic downloads and intuitive information regularly. Sometimes that comes through as a knowing. Sometimes a vision. Sometimes a feeling. Sometimes a message that arrives seemingly out of nowhere.
I also work intuitively with spirit and, when it feels appropriate, tune into what I experience as another person’s spiritual guidance. This is not something I need to prove. It is simply part of how I experience the world. And I don’t believe intuition belongs only to people who call themselves psychic. I believe we all have an inner knowing.
The difference is that many of us have become so busy, distracted, conditioned or disconnected from ourselves that we’ve forgotten how to hear it. Follow the yes. One of the biggest things I’ve learned is to pay attention to synchronicity. When I’m deeply aligned, life seems to move. The right person appears. The right conversation happens. Something opens. A seemingly random moment connects to something else. I receive one green flag after another.
It feels like life saying: Yes. Yes. Yes. Trust. Go.
And when everything feels chaotic, forced and disconnected, I often know I’ve moved away from myself.
So much of my own journey has been learning to recognise that difference. Not outsourcing my knowing. Not waiting for someone else to tell me what to do. Listening. Feeling. Checking in. And then taking action.
This is where my work is going now.
After years of teaching, facilitating, learning and creating spaces for women, I feel a very strong call towards community. Not just a class someone attends and then leaves. Not just a one-off experience.
But deeper transformational containers where women can come together, explore themselves, reconnect with their intuition and their bodies, and move forward alongside other women.
I want to create spaces where spirituality doesn’t have to be hidden. Where you can talk about energy and still be grounded. Where you can breathe, move, laugh, cry, question everything and find your own answers. Where your intuition is welcomed, but you are never asked to hand your power over to someone else. Because ultimately, that is what I want my work to give you. Not my answers. Your own. A deeper relationship with yourself. A stronger connection to your body. Trust in your intuition. The courage to follow what you know. And the space to become the woman you’re here to be. I don’t think I’m here to tell people what their life should look like. I think I’m here to help create the conditions where they can finally hear themselves clearly enough to discover it.
